Bomb Alerts silence Iran

They say things come in threes – with the dust settling over the New York car bomb scare [1] more news has appeared over car bomb alerts in London [2] around the same time (as mention by Gareth in the MindSet Podcast #23). Car bomb alerts in London and New York at the ‘same’ time – do you believe in coincidence or are these events more from design?

In both cities the New York bomber dominated the news. By ‘coincidence’ at the same time as these alerts were happening the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was addressing the UN – also from New York [3].

With media attention constantly being focused upon Iran his visit was strangely drowned out by the events in Times Square – meaning his statements condoning the US on Nuclear weapons, terrorism, Israel and sanctions – Coincidence? Join the MindSetCentral forum and leave your thoughts…

More ways to see badly parked cars…

After the car bomb in NewYork lots of new information has surfaced – As would be expected. We are told of the suspects’ history, surveillance, would be heroes and even how a man who allegedly slipped through security to create a “weapon of mass destruction” then parked in a bus lane…

What will this mean for us? Well to begin we can all rest easier in out beds knowing that the CCTV industry has been given a boost… Great news for the ordinary citizen and something that is sure to strike fear into any would be terrorists out there…

Remember the underwear bomber? The main action afterwards was to implement scanners (that were already set to go) and increase airport surveillance… So now it seems a similar incident allows the same mindset to add more surveillance to our streets.

The mayor, Michael Bloomberg, promised scores more police cameras to add to the 82 that police currently have installed in the midtown area of the city
