Saving lives with Eugenics?

Are there too many people on the planet? Is over population real or a myth? Or is it more about who is having those children – ie Eugenics.

One of the richest people in the world is continuing his efforts to ‘help’ people by encouraging medicines to those who have least in the ‘third world’. Bill Gates has been following in his Fathers footsteps (the head of ‘Planned Parenthood) again giving donations of money along with his wisdom. Like in January this year when he pledged $10 Billion to develop and deliver new vaccines to children in the developing world whilst stating “We must make this the decade of vaccines.”

Doublespeak – what’s the difference between huge ‘Charitable donations’ and BIG business? $10Billion has a lot of control and influence. Interestingly it comes close to the largest charitable donation in history from Mr Warren Buffet… $31Billion to… The Gates Foundation in 2006 to support its work in the developing world. Which reminds me of a phrase often used conspiracy theorists – ‘follow the money’. But of course if you do that who knows where it will take you, some people might even think that Microsoft is a front company for IBM, who it is alleged created the technology that maintained the lists of Jews for deportation and extermination during the Second World War. Do you believe in coincidence? Eugenics has many followers as the ‘Georgia Stones’ illustrate.

So if these things were linked – perhaps we should also keep an open eye on the ‘small’ donations that the Gates foundations also gives (and although the specific technology is different I can’t help but think of those airport scanners when reading this too…)

Scientists are beginning tests to see if ultrasound can be used as a reversible contraceptive for men.

With a grant of $100,000 from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation they will push ahead with more clinical trials.
