Telepathic computer can read your mind
The system is able to decipher thought patterns and tell what people are thinking simply by scanning the brain. The breakthrough is a step forward because it can delve into people’s memories and differentiate between different recollections.
“What is more interesting is to look at ‘episodic’ memories – the complex, everyday memories that include much more information on where we are, what we are doing and how we feel.
“We’ve been able to look at brain activity for a specific episodic memory — to look at actual memory traces. We found our memories are definitely represented in the hippocampus.
“Now that we’ve seen where they are, we have an opportunity to understand how memories are stored and how they may change through time.”

The Afghan Road To Peace Stymied By Arrest Of Taliban Deputy
On February 17th Mindset Central reported that all was not as it seemed with the arrest of Taliban Deputy Leader, Mullah Adbul Ghani Baradar. Whilst Pakistani media outlets were silent on the arrest (think propaganda coup and Rudolf Hess in WW2), the USA were trumpeting the news that the high ranking Talibani had been arrested following a CIA led intelligence op.
It subsequently appeared that he was detained following a rounding up exercise or operational sweep ( think The Usual Suspects) by Pakistan Security, with statements later released that there had been a delay in announcing Mullah Abdul’s arrest so that his identity could be verified. It now appears that reasons for the delay may be somewhat more convoluted.
Recent murmurings from unnamed sources point to Baradar as key to the peace initiative involving officials on behalf of the Saudi Royal Family, former Arabic mujaheddin fighters, a top UN official, a retired senior British officer and the Afghanis under President Karzai. Baradar was an important part of the talks with sources claiming that he was the Taliban representative at peace talks.
The arrest has been described by sources as a ‘let down ‘ and ‘a huge blow’ to peace. It is claimed that the Taliban are growing tired of fighting. And that talks – possibly involving Baradar – were ongoing as far back as 2008. Afghanistan expert Bette Dam states in her book that the Mullah was on the telephone regularly with President Karzai.
Petty jealousies between the Secret Service Agencies is now being cited as a reason for Baradar’s arrest in the first place, with Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence Agency (ISI) annoyed that they were being bypassed in negotiations.
The situation begs a number of questions. Are there elements within the ‘coalition’ who are opposed to peace and wish the conflict to continue - simply because they are not involved in the peace process? On 12th March , an unnamed Pakistan Counterinsurgency Official stated that Baradar was ‘singing like a male canary.’ Is this statement released in order to render Baradar useless in any future talks? Has this player been taken out of the game? What purpose is there to release such a statement apart from to destroy the credibility of the Taliban Military Commander? So how seriously should we take this announcement?

Natural Born Fillers Replaced By NWO Style Fries
Are French fries ( known as chips in the UK) now being standardized? The Mindset Podcast is a firm fan of Jack In The Box and has learned that the burger chain’s ‘natural cut French fries’ are being replaced with a more crispier McDonald’s looking fry.
The new version ” packs more potato flavor “, reports The Orange County Register. Adding flavor helps make the food more tasty. Making fries look the same , whilst denying choice, will tempt diners from other fast food establishments to the Carl’s Jr. table – or drive-thru’.
Whilst not admitting to be ” In ‘n’ Out ‘ cultists, The Mindset Podcast is relieved that the prices and fat content remain the same – and that ‘curly fries’ are still available on the menu.

Clearest UFO ever filmed in China
This is amazing footage.
What is being hailed as the clearest UFO footage ever (view below) has finally hit the internet via You Tube.
ON January 28 at 8.40am multiple witnesses saw a giant pyramid shaped UFO briefly hover above the city of Xi’an, China. The UFO was seen for no more than two minutes and one witness, Mr. Yu managed to film around 15 seconds of footage of this historic event.
Mr. Yu described the UFO as being covered in uneven patterns and shapes as well as having glowing purple light coming out of the underside of the craft. Another smaller UFO was seen at one stage move in the vicinity of the larger craft. Both UFOs were seen by multiple witness’ despite its very brief appearance.
While it would be trivial for a skilled Photo shop artist to create this video, I have a strong feeling that this footage may in fact be the real thing…
Ark of the Covenant Found In Zimbabwe
The Lost Jewish Tribe of Lemba ( the ancestors of 7 priests who journeyed south ) has been unearthed in Zimbabwe, with geneticists saying the tribe , numbering 80,000, have a common ancestor from the time of Moses.
They also have a special and fascinating artifact which has recently gone on display.
” The oral traditions of the Lemba say that the ngoma lungundu is the Biblical wooden Ark made by Moses, and that centuries ago a small group of men began a long journey carrying it from Yemen to southern Africa. “ reports the BBC.
Professor Tudor Parfitt states:
“Many people say that the story is far-fetched, but the oral traditions of the Lemba have been backed up by science.”
Tests have put the ngoma at 700 years of age - old, but not ancient enough to be of biblical proportions. However, Prof. Parfitt has an explanation, his hypothesis being that the ngoma was used in battles, and would explode and be rebuilt.
Tantalizing news and one to get every Indy fan demanding a sequel.

Not So Novel Policing Idea Muted by UK Prime Minister
With the UK General Election looming, politicians are keen to present new and modern ideas to tempt the voter into putting that all important X on the ballot sheet. Gordon Brown, MP and current Prime Minister, has come up with a not so novel idea to tackle the public concern about front line law enforcement.
In a speech in Reading to whoever was prepared to listen, Mr. Brown has told National and Local Police Authorities to keep officers on the beat in order to maintain the public’s confidence in ‘law and order’.
Not everything is as appears, with the PM calling on local authorities to implement his target of Neighbourhood PCs spending 80% of their time on the streets.
Neighbourhood, or Community Police Officers are a tiny visible minority who are appointed by Chief Constable to patrol towns and villages, so don’t expect much in the way of change. These Officers are supplemented by Police Community Support Officers who respond to non-emergency inquiries ( within 24 hours.)
