Episode 17 began with news that Gareth had been caught in the shower during the latest Earthquake to hit LA. Things shook apparently. Then we moved hurriedly on to discuss some UK news making the headlines, most notably the SAS Headquarters identified by Google Street View and the fallout from this. Peter related his latest paranormal ‘event’ and next we began the clips:
LA Earthquake:
The News Anchor is really milking certain words ” Tuesss-day” “Four point FOUUURRR”! Is this a media driven story? A portent of doom for LA / The World? In depth was this clip discussed.
Obama Birth Certificate Requests:
A clip reported rather sniffily as if the people requesting it are ‘odd’ or ‘ nutjobs’ or ‘ childish’.
Without these requests , they’d probably not have too much to do. You’d think they’d enjoy the overtime. If the law states requesting Birth Certificates are allowed, then people are in the right. Gareth and Peter dissected this to its bare bones.
Pope Abuse:
No, not Gareth verbally abusing the Pontiff ( well, actually he did! ) but the stories and scandals that continue to rattle the Catholic Church, as adults viciously abused as children speak out.
Boy suspended for playing Guns:
Another interesting clip, with Peter and Gareth agreeing to disagree on aspects of this story.
Hospital Bed Cuts:
“It doesn’t sound like reform, it sounds like murder.” – Quote of the day from The Glynn!
The Reform Group are tied closely to the Government in Waiting, the Conservative Party. There is a hint there of what is to come.
Georgian Invasion:
Wars and Rumours of War and End Times is appearing on the horizon. Here we have Media manipulation at its best – or worst! Peter suggested that the War In Afghanistan is about to end and a new phase may begin – with conflicts in the former USSR, around Jerusalem and between India and Pakistan.

NHS Best Kept Secret Revealed
Ever wondered why hospital food is so lousy? Or why, despite constantly ringing the bell for attention nobody ever comes? It could possibly be a tactic by NHS managers to ensure that patients do not over stay their welcome.
Fairfield Hospital in Lancashire (UK) revealed today that it took over 9 years to discharge a patient.
Health Chiefs in the Pennine area hospital classed the case as ” exceptional “, citing the reason behind the long stay being the family refusing to let the patient ( unnamed for reasons of privacy) be discharged.
Though not readily advertised, patients can only be discharged with ‘consent’ – either of the patient him/herself – or by family in cases where the patient cannot give informed consent.
A Spokesman for the Hospital explained more of the situation:
“The reasons around this case were complex but centred around the patient’s family, who did not wish their relative to be discharged. They ( the family) considered the care in Fairfield General Hospital to be excellent and went to great lengths to ensure his discharge could not take place. The trust is committed to reducing the number of patients who are delayed in hospital, even though they are medically fit to be discharged.”
Maybe there was good reason for delaying discharge by nearly a decade, as a few days after transferring to a nursing home, the patient died.

‘ Laughing Stock’ Jailed Over Terror Offences
" ...almost comical in it's amateurishness.."
Police insist they have the backing of the Asian community following the conviction of two Blackburn (UK) brothers on terrorism offenses.
On Friday Abbas and Ilyas Iqbal ( who had named themselves The Blackburn Resistance) were jailed for a total of four years and six months after being found guilty at Manchester Crown Court.
The duo, who wore army-style camouflage clothing, had been seen as a ‘laughing stock’ by the local community at Whalley Range.
But Chief Superintendent Bob Eastwood denied claims the authorities had overreacted to the threat they posed. Even the judge , during sentencing said that ” their Al-Qa’ida-style ambitions to become fully-fledged jihadists amounted to little more than a vanity project.”
The prosecutor said that the material gained from the pair was ‘…comical in its amateurishness..”
Abbas Iqbal 24, was sentenced to two years in prison for the dissemination of terrorist publications ( copying parts of the scripts from the film Black Hawk Down ) and preparing for acts of terrorism. His younger brother Ilyas, 23, was jailed for 18 months for possessing a document ( based on news reports from Fox News and Al Jazeera TV) likely to be useful to a terrorist.
Whoever that terrorist it might be useful to is, it certainly isn’t Ilyas Iqbal or his brother Abbas.

Rumsfeld warned 9/11 Commission about ‘line’ it ’should not cross’
Senior Bush administration officials sternly cautioned the 9/11 Commission against probing too deeply into the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, according to a document recently obtained by the ACLU.
The notification came in a letter dated January 6, 2004, addressed by Attorney General John Ashcroft, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld and CIA Director George J. Tenet. The ACLU described it as a fax sent by David Addington, then-counsel to former vice president Dick Cheney.
In the message, the officials denied the bipartisan commission’s request to question terrorist detainees, informing its two senior-most members that doing so would “cross” a “line” and obstruct the administration’s ability to protect the nation.

Freedom or Death T-shirt – “an incitement to terrorism”
‘A British holidaymaker was ordered to cover up his t-shirt by airport security guards at London’s Gatwick airport, who described the slogan “Freedom or Death” as “threatening” and “an incitement to terrorism”.
38-year-old father of two, Lloyd Berks, was ordered to obscure the shirt while passing through security gates on his way to a flight to Austria.’

Barry Advised To Remove Troops
What’s in a name? By their name shall we know them? President Barack Obama should take American forces out of Afghanistan and Iraq if he wants to reconcile the Muslim world and the West. So says Obama’s cousin Haryo.
Mr. Soetendro 55, grew up with the President – whom he knew as “Barry” –when he lived in Indonesia for four years during the late 1960s.
The President prepares to leave for a visit to his childhood home next weekend, coinciding with his daughters’ school holidays.

Six Year Old Suspended For Imaginary Gun
Young Mason Jammer has been suspended from his kindergarten for cocking an imaginary gun and aiming it at a fellow student. Most would see this as a child at play.
But despite millions of children around the world safely playing at Cowboys and Indians or at soldiers or suchlike, Jefferson School in Ionia, Michigan thought that his behavior worthy of a ban.
His mom said Jammer 6, was non-violent and didn’t have any toy guns at home. As a compromise, and because she doesn’t wish to see her son labeled as a troublemaker, Mom Jammer has agreed to send Mason for tests to see if he is suffering from ADS. The school refused to comment.

False Leg Raises Alarm At Heathrow Airport
Searching passengers false legs is now standard procedure at the UK’s flagship airport. Because the scanners cannot see inside prosthetic’s, passengers are now expected to display their limb and have an official ‘swab’ it in case it contains explosives.
Heather Mills, once the wife of Sir. Paul McCartney, set alarm bells a-ringing whilst passing through Heathrow to visit the US.
A spokes-person for BAA , the company that owns Heathrow , said:
“ She was swabbed because something set off the alarm in the metal detector archway. Staff could not see inside the leg so it was swabbed instead. This would be the same protocol as if a passenger had a broken arm or leg.”

UK High Rise Apartment Death Plunge:
Immigration and Asylum – the issue that dare not speak its name. Is this a story about the shambles that is the UK policy on asylum and immigration? Three people threw themselves from high rise flats in Glasgow Scotland. They were identified as three Russians, one of whom claimed to be a former Russian Secret Service Operator. With Russia reporting the incident as ‘fallen from ‘ rather than ‘jumped from ‘ and with apparent Border Police banging on the apartment door moments before the two men and woman died, this report raises some questions.
Dangerous Dogs:
Man’s Best Friend. Dog Bites Postman. The same old story. A few idiots cause problems and the Government tell us there must be yet more tax on it. Ouch!
Sanctions:
The sanctions were punishment for Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait, and aimed to prevent the country from gaining weapons of mass destruction. Why can we only hear about this on Al Jazeerra and not the Western Media? Why, when we google this, do stories of Sanctions against Iran keep coming to the fore? Fake elections, Iraq still not in charge of its own country, oil fields are controlled by the Western Businesses are possible motives – or has someone simply forgotten to lift them?
White Soccer Mom Terrorist Arrests:
Terrorist used to be a bloke with a beard wrapped in a blanket. Now we have the opposite of this, i.e. Hot White Chicks or soccer mom types. Now, anyone, especially you, can look like a terrorist. An interesting clip, dissected.
