I love a doubting Thomas. I feed off people who doubt me and anything I say. Call it masochistic but I get a real kick out of people who just shoot off at the mouth and imply I don’t know what I’m doing or what I’m talking about.
I’m sure there are times it may seem that I really don’t have a clue, but 90% of the time I don’t speak unless what I have to say is important, interesting, relevant and backed up by facts, science and/or experience. At my age I prefer silence to blabbering for the sake of it, and I’m really not that fond of the sound of my own voice.
However, it’s thanks to people who doubted me, and continue to doubt me, that I am where I am today and that I’m doing what I love doing. As a teenager growing up in a small environment, if it hadn’t been for my father telling me I couldn’t and my step mother saying I wouldn’t, I would never have pushed myself so hard in life to achieve all the dreams I aspired to back then.

This is without doubt one of the most disturbing videos ever recorded.

Evolving Miss USA
I dont know why, but I find the whole creationist debate fascinating. It speaks to a deep philosophical divide in America, and while most would think it is the devision between ignorance and enlightenment, I find it a divide between the lazy and the not so lazy.

Any Plans for the Weekend? – The Rapture
So its the end of the world this weekend. Yeah I know it sounds like the ravings of the mentally ill, and it probably is, but who knows maybe this Saturday will herald the end of it all.
Not too surprisingly the vast majority of people on this planet are not too concerned that it all could end on the 21st of this month, and that the rapture may well be upon us! I include myself in that not too concerned list, as for me the whole Rapture end of the world deal, reeks of bullshit and the likely hood of it happening is slim to none.

Stephen Hawking – “There is no Heaven”
Cosmologist, Physicist and speculator Stephen Hawking in a recent interview in the UK’s Guardian newspaper, states that “there is no heaven, its all a fairy story”.
While Hawkins statement is just as accurate as the conclusion put forth by other people stating definitively that there is a heaven. Hawking will no doubt make headlines the world over as a non-beliver!

Brazilian Obama impersonator Ananias Rodrigues da Silva, 42, is a businessman and pastor who has lived in São Paulo since he was 17. He became a Barack Obama look-a-like three years ago.
When da Silva met Osama impersonator Francisco Helder Braga Fernandes, who closely resembles Osama bin Laden, hilarity ensued and had to be photographed.
