I’m not entirely sure why, but for the last several days I have been pondering The Singularity, and its possible outcome.
So what’s a Singularity?
The Singularity as postulated by Ray Kurzweil, is a theory that machines will achieve consciousness and become self aware around 2045, and then go on to completely out match humans in every capacity somewhere around 2060. This theory is currently confirmed by everything we know about how reality, conscience and technology functions, all leading to the fact that sentient machines infinitely smarter than us, will start to appear on Earth in about 50 years.

On a crisp October evening in 1989, veteran CBS news man Dan Rather was strolling along Park Avenue on route to his apartment, when he was accosted by two individuals. The two men attacked Rather from behind, and when he tried to walk away, he was punched and knocked to the ground. The attackers then chased Rather into a building and kicked him several times in the back. While Rather retreated into the fetal position, and was pummeled by the two men, they repeatedly yelled a seemingly nonsensical question at Rather.
“WHAT’S THE FREQUENCY, KENNETH!” over and over was this phrase repeated. Was Rather the victim of mistaken identity? If so, why would a “frequency” be of any use to a common mugger? And no money was taken?

100 Degree Temperature Swing
This past winter we all seem to have experienced, with varying degrees, some extremes in weather. The norm appears to be fast becoming bitterly cold winters and abnormally hot summers, could this be Global Warming, Weather Wars or something else entirely?
These radical changes in weather has recently been illustrated in small town America. In Nowata, Oklahoma record-setting temperatures swung from a frigid 31 below zero to a balmy 76 degrees in the space of one week!
