The words ‘Conspiracy Theory’ has taken on some very negative connotations over the past 20 or so years. Now days whenever these words are invoked on the nightly news, or mentioned in pretty much any setting, thoughts of mentally unbalanced or delusional people spring into the general public’s mind, and whatever the ‘theory’ might concern is instantly dismissed as nonsense.
In my mind a ‘Conspiracy Theorist’ is someone just searching for the truth. Someone who does not blindly accept the official story at face value, and attempts to look beyond it.
Keeping in mind what I’ve just stated above, it seems that the ‘Skeptics’ are in some way threatened by the seeming onslaught of lies and nonsense spread by conspiracy theorists on the Internet, and have decided to retaliate.
Conspiracy theories predate the internet but the web has provided a fast, accessible platform for groups to unite, gather research and disseminate information without even meeting or leaving their houses.
While many people find them harmless fun, others believe there is a darker truth – that conspiracy theories are rewriting history, warping the present and altering the future. Enough is enough they say – it’s time to fight back.
This staggering statement paints a picture that while all conspiracy theories are bullshit, we must let the people know that they are bullshit! Oh, and you are a fool to believe it, as we know better…
Great stuff I’m sure you’ll agree, but the fact is that conspiracies DO exist and always have. From a group of friends ‘Conspiring’ to plan a surprise party, to major corporations putting competitors out of business, conspiracies are REAL.
Where ever there is money and power there are LIES.
Where ever there is money and power there is BETRAYAL.
Where ever there is money and power there is DECEIT.
Where ever there is money and power there are CONSPIRACIES.
